That old Creaky Olsen is quite the character,
but he still has some of the quaint old cowboy manners of his cowboy days. One day he was standing out by the road and a woman from town came along with her little dog. They got to talking and after a few minutes the dog walked over and started to sniff at Creaky's boot. Then he lifted his hind leg to do what dogs do. Creaky jumped back and the lady said, "Oh, Creaky, I'm so sorry!"

Creaky says, "Oh, not a problem, Ma'm. I just thought the little booger was gonna kick me."
